The Peak response and quality number has dramatically decreased, why?

The quality number is located to the right of the Vout signal on the systems settings screen. If your value is between 50 and 255 this is an indication of high background current. This is typically caused from contaminates within your carrier gas and gas needs to be changed along with reconditioning of your columns. Normal values should read between 7 and 12. If values do not drop below 200 after a 12 hour reconditioning on clean gas, there is either a leak or the column is not fully clean and should be conditioned again.

NOTE** For a more detailed step by step on how to check your systems quality numbers please view section 8.4 in your user manual.
