Why are some PP1's equipped with rotary valves and others with diaphragm? What is the difference between the two?

Although, diaphragm valves do have a longer valve life we highly recommend using rotory. Rotary valves vastly improve performance with their high tolerance to practical damage and excellent leak integrity. This simple switch of valves will be a more cost effective and a preventative action to the lifetime reliability of your GC.

Rotary-

"E" Rotor Material: Is a Teflon Graphite Blend and works for all Peak Applications

"M" Rotor Material: Is a Polypropylene material that works for non RCP application

Diaphragm-

Uses a coated Kapton diaphragm material.

NOTE** For a more detailed description of rotary valves vs. diaphragm valves please view  9.17 in your user manual.
